Physical Appearance

Typically half-dressed but ready for anything—disheveled hair or no. After classes, he's most often seen in house-slippers, a comfortable pair of jean trousers, a solid-colored tee with or without decals or text, and a warm cardigan to protect him from this unforgiving northern weather. He could afford to eat more… but that would mean less free time for Quidditch. He could afford to get out more… but that would mean less free time for gaming.

  • Height: 5'9
  • Weight: 128 lbs
  • Distinguishing Features: always carries a rosary & charm bracelet

Meredith (or "Mop", as he likes to introduce himself) is surprisingly clever when he isn't living in his own world. If he applied himself (isn't that what all the adults say?) he could be a respectable student… probably (maybe). Unfortunately, he has a crippling attitude that sets him apart from Wizard or Muggle and right into the realm of antisocial and outlandish. Leaning towards obsessive, he tends to focus on the task at hand and suffers from a case of tunnel-vision most extreme in situations of distress. It's not uncommon for him to start on a task and become belligerent with the first poor sap to interrupt him. That being said, he has a good amount of competitive spirit and even if he's not actually gifted at something, he'll never turn down a challenge. After all, how else are you supposed to gain experience to level??

Notable Skills

The Great Mop is unbeatable at anything and everything! He has pinpoint aim in the shittiest conditions (thank you auto-lock); he innately knows where he's going at every turn (bless you, mini-map); he's possessed of the most extraordinary treasure-sense (compass, my friend); he can take on entire armies without breaking a swea—oh, wait, you mean… life isn't a game?

Right then… well strike all that; aside from being the self-proclaimed expert and top-winner at any Muggle video game he's ever touched, Mop has a good home-run swing and seems to have an above-average sense of coordination and spacial awareness. A skills of less repute are his ability to speak Welsh (useless) & his black and silver tongue: Mop is a compulsive liar.

Magical Information

Mop seems to just barely skate by in most of his classes… which certainly begs the question: how is he still here? Well, aside from being FANTASTIC in the ultra-boring area of Muggle Studies, he shows talent in D.A.D.A… and his Beating arm is a fairly good asset.

Brief History

Meredith's family died in a tragic car accident back in '71 that left him homeless. Without a place to go, Mop worked as a chimney sweep and street cleaner until he was taken in by an old man by the name of Spanks. One night, after living with Spanks for his entire life, Mop awoke to find the man had been murdered in his sleep and his soul stolen. While huddling Spanks' bloody body and crying to the heavens, Mop decided to set out on a journey of vengeance to right this cosmic wrong. After being beaten by the cackling villains, he discovered his wizarding powers and came back from the clutches of defeat. Not too long thereafter, he was recruited to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to act as a stepping stone in his path to justice.

…Which would be his history, if any of that actually happened.

Unfortunately, Meredith comes from a long line of spiky and professional Muggles who are STILL quite alive and happy in their Cardiff home… and they're not too sure their son's new eccentric path of education is really going to work out. Some day he'll come back from his childish vision and be some kind of respectable scientist… or something. Until then, they have their second son to put their faith in and they'll support Meredith's silly notions just to have a bit of humor in their lives.
